Outdoor Fall decor

Are you needing a few lawn decoration ideas? Want your outdoor fall décor to match your festive mood this year? Be sure to extend your outdoor décor beyond just your front door and front porch.

Add some decorations to your outdoor space using pumpkins, gourds, and other autumnal decorations. Lights are great year around, and they really stand out in fall and winter. String lights, light up pumpkins, or light shows are all great ideas. Also, hang wreathes on trees or other outdoor structures. You can make your yard décor big and extravagant, or you can keep it small and elegant.  Either way you will make your yard stand out from the neighbors. We have a few suggestions for lawn decoration ideas that you will enjoy.

Other Ideas for Outdoor Fall Decor

If you have a larger outdoor sitting area, allow your décor color choices of rugs, blankets, throws and pillows to expand into them to ensure your theme remains consistent and cohesive. Additionally, your Outdoor Decor colors should all flow together and be easy on the eyes. Allow your decorations to stand out and be the conversational piece for your guest, or people passing by.

If your outdoor space is covered and has electricity, string lights. They are beautiful at night. Use warm lighting like Edison bulbs, lanterns, and candles. Find a way to work them in and you will not regret it.

Don’t forget, larger outdoor spaces are often not as warm. With that being said find ways to better shield yourself from breezes that are next to your house. If you plan to sit and relax outside look into a fire table. That will keep you warm on a cold night.

Lights for Outdoor Decor

Lights are great year around, and they really stand out in fall and winter. String lights, light up pumpkins, or light shows are all great ideas. This is again another idea that you can take to the next level, and you can put on a spectacular show, or just keep it simple and pleasing to the eye. When using lights be sure to check that you have enough power supply and can run them safely. Consider LED lights because they draw less power. Some utility companies offer rebates for using LED lights. Be sure to check into that before you get started. Whether you are doing a DIY light show, preboxed light show or just stringing lights, always be safe.
